Sponsorship of ISOC-AU
The Internet Society of Australia, ISOC-AU, is a non-profit,
user-focused organisation which promotes development of the Internet in
Australia to benefit the whole community, including business, academic,
professional, and private Internet users.
Why Sponsor ISOC-AU?
Sponsors have supported the Society since it started in 1996 and have
been fundamental to its success. Through support, ISOC-AU Sponsors
show their firm commitment to the development of the Internet. This
provides a direct benefit in return, because Sponsors are organisations
for whom efficient Internet services are fundamental to their
businesses, products and communications.
Sponsors also benefit from involvement because they receive personal
access to some of the most experienced Internet developers and
information technology professionals in Australia. The Society's
Organisational Members represent more than 100,000 Internet users at all
levels of Internet industry, research and infrastructure.
Through ISOC-AU, Sponsors gain a number of advantages: they get to know
the interests and directions of technology early-adopters. They can
provide their own input and perspective to government and industry
policy development. They receive marketing exposure and may
position themselves as supporters of Australian Internet development.
Through free (non-voting associate) memberships they can provide
their clients and employees with access to the experience of ISOC-AU
members, to energise and inform them about the Internet.

Benefits of Sponsorship
Sponsorship may be arranged for a number of levels - Bronze, Silver, Gold and
Platinum - which can be flexibly tailored to suit each Sponsor personally.
(Sponsorship may also be combined with Membership, so that Sponsors become
more closely involved with our Special Interest Groups, attend our discussion
teleconferences, consult with ISOC-AU directors, and have voting membership
rights, see Member benefits). In
general, Sponsors may receive:
- Promotional opportunities to inform ISOC-AU members about Sponsor
conferences and events
- Sponsor logo on the ISOC-AU front page (for Platinum) and
on the special Sponsors page (Silver/Gold/Bronze)
- Sponsor link on the special Sponsors page for all levels
- Sponsor's support highlighted and acknowledged at ISOC-AU events
- Representation on the Advisory Council, to provide perspective and
convey concerns through ISOC-AU to government and industry bodies
- Multiple individual (non-voting associate) memberships of ISOC-AU to
offer to employees and clients as informational, marketing and liaison
initiatives
- Opportunities to network with other Internet professionals and
organisations at scheduled talks and events
- Opportunities to professionally develop Sponsor's own staff with
concession entry to talks, events and conferences
- Inclusion of Sponsor marketing material with annual postal mail-out
- Opportunity to position the Sponsor's organisation as a supporter of
the Internet by using the ISOC-AU logo
