Notice of Extraordinary General Meeting 2008

Notice is hereby given that an Extraordinary General Meeting of the members of the Society will be held at the offices of Maddocks, 140 William Street, Melbourne, Victoria, at 5:30 pm on Wednesday 16 January 2008. Please see the Explanatory Memorandum below for more information.

A member of the Society is entitled to attend and vote or appoint a proxy to attend and vote on their behalf. A proxy need not be a member. To appoint a proxy, you must return your signed proxy form to the registered office of the Society by delivery, mail, facsimile or email at least 24 hours before the time and date scheduled for the Extraordinary General Meeting. The Extraordinary General Meeting of the members of the Society will be held for the purpose of considering the following item of business:

Adoption of Accounts and Reports
To consider the profit and loss accounts, the balance sheet, and the auditor's report of the Society and, if thought fit, receive and adopt those accounts, balance sheet and report.

This memorandum explains the background to the item of business set out in the accompanying Notice of Meeting.

Accounts
Due to circumstances beyond the Society's control, the Audited Financial Returns and the 2007 Annual Report of the Society were not available for consideration at the Society's Annual General Meeting in December 2007. The 2008 Annual Report of the Society, which comprises the profit and loss accounts, the balance sheet, and the auditor's report of the Society are available at:
