Four organisations who collectively
possess a complete understanding of where the Internet is going
came together to present this event:
- ISOC-AU
The Internet Society of Australia is a non-profit, user-focussed
organisation that promotes development of the Internet in Australia to
benefit the whole community, including business, academic, professional
and individual Internet users. It is a Chapter of the global Internet
Society - the parent body of the IETF, which designs the standards
underlying all Internet connectivity.

The Australian Centre for Advanced Computing and Communications is a
specialist centre providing high performance computing services to
commerce, industry government and academia. The ac3
state-of-the-art supercomputers and mass storage are accessible by
secure means over the Internet for computational or storage-intensive
applications.

Smart Internet
The Smart Internet Technology CRC combines research in Artificial
Intelligence (AI), Social Interaction and Networking to create
enabling technologies for smart Internet applications that allow
users and service providers to manage this complexity. In
collaboration with Telstra, Westpac, Legalco, NSW Government,
Infosys and a number of SMEs, our market focus is on banking and
commerce, health and entertainment services delivery into virtual
and real homes and communities.

GrangeNet
GrangeNet operates an advanced, gigabit research network linking
Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney, and Brisbane providing enabling technology
for Australian researchers and for the development of grid and advanced
communications services. GrangeNet supports a wide range of research
activities including the development of an Australian eResearch
platform. The program is funded by the Department of Communications
Information Technology and the Arts.
